To address 
                      and curb the menace of ragging the UGC has enacted the UGC 
                      Regulations on curbing the Menace ofRagging in Higher Education 
                      institutions,2009.In accordance with this regulation MES. 
                      M. M. Arts & Science College SIRSI has constituted anti-ragging 
                      committee.
                    VISION. 
                      
                    Ragging 
                      is a serious issue in colleges and universities that can 
                      cause physical and emotional harm to students. To prevent 
                      ragging and ensure the safety of students.
                      An anti-ragging committee is a group of faculty members, 
                      administrators, and students who are responsible for preventing 
                      and addressing cases of ragging in the college or university. 
                      The committee is usually headed by a senior faculty member 
                      and includes representatives from different departments 
                      and student organizations.
                    MISSION.
                    The main 
                      role of the anti-ragging committee is to prevent and address 
                      cases of ragging in the college or university. The committee 
                      is responsible for creating awareness among students about 
                      the harmful effects of ragging and the consequences of engaging 
                      in ragging activities. It also provides support to students 
                      who have been victims of ragging and takes appropriate action 
                      against those who engage in ragging activities.
                    The 
                      anti-ragging committee has several functions, including:
                    1. Conducting 
                      regular awareness programs for students, faculty, and staff 
                      about the harmful effects of ragging and the consequences 
                      of engaging in ragging activities.
                    2. Providing 
                      support to students who have been victims of ragging, including 
                      counseling and other forms of assistance.
                    3. Investigating 
                      and addressing complaints of ragging in a timely and effective 
                      manner.
                    4. Taking 
                      appropriate action against students who engage in ragging 
                      activities, including suspension, expulsion, or legal action.
                    5. Maintaining 
                      records of complaints and actions taken against students 
                      who engage in ragging activities.
                    6. Coordinating 
                      with local law enforcement agencies to prevent and address 
                      cases of ragging.
