“Deshpande Skilling” Hubblli and MES’s M.M. Arts and Science College, Sirsi.

Deshpande Educational Trust, a charitable trust incorporated under the Indian Trust Act1882, and having it’s principal office at Airport Road, Hubballi, Karnataka,580030, India, (hereinafter referred to as “Deshpande Skilling”) duly represented by it’s Chief Operating Officer Mr.P.N. Nayak. Deshpande Skilling a “not for profit” trust, an impact unit of Deshpande Foundation, India, and a training partner of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), is involved in the activity of conducting employability skills training programs for graduates from rural and semi-urban Colleges at various colleges and it’s skilling campus in Hubballi, and providing placement assistance to it’s students. Deshpande Skilling wishes to skill job-seeking students pursuing graduation/graduates that pass out of college but have failed to acquire the required skills to earn employment through it’s Non-Residential (Skill Plus) and Residential (Skill Plus-R) Skilling Programs. The college has opted for both Non-Residential and Residential Skill Pluss Skilling Programs. In the Non-Residential (on campus) program trainers from Deshpande Skilling are utilizing the college classrooms, computer labs, activity areas, and other necessary infrastructure of the college to deliver the Skills Plus program for select students for the placement in MNCs. In the Residential Skill Plus (off campus) program more than 10 students of the college were trained and placed in different MNCs. Presently during the academic year 2022-23, more than 20 students of our institution are under Skill Plus training in a non-residential program and waiting for the placement. Deshpande Skilling,Hubballi has been working jointly with MES’s M.M. Arts and Science College, Sirsito build a mindset and discipline among the students for preparing early to earn placement and start a career. Both parties are jointly working to engage the enrolled students through online and offline methods to achieve this. Deshpande Skilling provides training completion certificates to all students who complete the training. The certificate will bear the logo of NSDC and Deshpande Skilling.

ABOUT US

Sirsi taluk that lies in the lap of the great sahyadris is naturally endowed with scenic beauty and salubrious environment. In the map of the Uttara Kannada district it has a unique identity for its sound socio- economic fabric and rich cultural heritage. But the people of this taluk were not educationally empowered for higher learning till the founding of the Modern Education Society in the year 1962. This premier educational organization was established with an aim to provide higher education to the aspirant learners of the upper ghat talukas of the U.K. district. The dreams of a large section of the ambitious youths, especially of girls to get a degree of their interest and choice would not have been realized without the founding of this educational organization. The MES has been presently running 16 institutions, including various branches of studies like Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Polytechnic, Job-Oriented courses, Diploma in Nursing, aided and unaided multi-disciplinary Pre-university courses etc. on the sprawling 50 acres of area. All the institutions of the Society have made a distinctive mark in their respective fields on the educational map of the State.
